How should I specify a finish?
Supply a colour reference or sample, identify visible surfaces and explain whether appearance, handling or fit matters most. Flag threads, mating surfaces and dimensions that must be preserved.
Should finishing be included in the print quote?
Yes. Describe the final result when requesting the part so the team can assess printing and finishing together. Ask how the selected process may affect dimensions, surface texture and delivery time.
